Thermax Condensation Control Greenhouse Plastic 
Greenhouse plastic coverings with condensation control cannot stop condensation from developing but they can control the water that does inevitably condense on the film surface. With ordinary polyethylene products, water that does condense on the film forms round droplets, which causes a host of problems for growers that ultimately impact time, yield, and cost. Condensation control greenhouse film is designed to have a high affinity for water. Condensed water no longer forms droplets but instead forms a continuous thin sheet of water over the entire film surface.

Although the intensity of light at any one point in time may be lower under a diffused film, the total light transmission is excellent and the plants may actually utilize more PAR light through the course of a day, with less stress. This is due to the more even distribution of light at crop level. By eliminating shadows and spreading available energy more evenly on the leaf surface, there is less stress on the top canopy of the plant and more photosynthesis occurring in the lower canopy.

Panda Premium Light Deprivation Greenhouse Cover 
Black and white plastic sheeting is used for crop control management in a light deprivation greenhouse. The white side is highly reflective and used to direct light away. The black side is completely opaque and absorbs light, keeping heat and light away. It is also used for waterproofing and temperature control. Using Black Plastic Mulch in a Greenhouse  
The use of plastic mulch in greenhouses has exploded in popularity. Black plastic mulch is usually used in a greenhouse for spring-seeded crops. Black plastic mulch can increase soil temperatures by about 5ºF. Black mulches absorb heat from sunlight and transfer it to the soil for a warming effect. Black plastic mulch also helps growers reduce weed growth by blocking light. TIP: Allow for Inflation When Installing a Greenhouse Cover 
Greenhouse film will expand and contract as temperatures increase and decrease. Typically, dimensional changes of 1 to 12 inches in length and 1 to 4 inches in width can be expected under field conditions. The actual expansion and contraction will vary with differences in black and white poly film width, gauge, formulation, and manufacturing conditions. Allow for the normal expansion and contraction of the greenhouse blackout film during installation.  Single layer greenhouse film should be installed snugly, but should not be overly tight. Double poly film installations should provide enough slack in the top layer to allow 12” to 24” of inflation.
