What is Zerust VCI?   VCI stands for Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors. ZeRust capsules apply VCI technology to inhibit corrosion on metal. VCI film is packaging that generally consists of polyethylene film that has the ZeRust VCI additives added in the making of the films. They release very low concentrations of invisible corrosion inhibiting vapors into the surrounding air. The vapor molecules condense onto exposed metal surfaces and form a molecular corrosion shield that can protect against rust and other forms of corrosion for up to five (5) years. When the ZeRust VCI packaging is later removed, all vapor corrosion inhibiting molecules rapidly evaporate. This leaves the metal parts clean and ready for immediate use.

ZeRust VCI Films and ZeRust Vapor Capsules are an excellent addition to use with shrink wrap. Provide a full circle environmental protective enclosure.

VCI Films:  36" and 48" wide by 500' length 4 mil plastic (non shrink) and 20' wide by 100' length 4 mil Shrink Film. There is also a 3 year Outdoor Preservation Shrink Film, 20' x 100' 8 mil
VCI ZeRust Vapor Capsules:   VC1-1 = 1 cu ft coverage for 1 year. VC2-1 = 2 cu ft coverage for 1 year. VC2-2 = 2 cu ft coverage for 2 years. VC6-1 = 6 cu ft coverage for 1 year.   VC6-2 = 6 cu ft coverage for 2 years
